There's A First Time For Everything
Back in the late 1990's, I worked at a publishing company as a text/graphics integrator for a few years. My job was to check for mistakes in the HTML formatting as well as typos. Since leaving that job, I haven't worked with HTML and I have never coded a web page from the start. This webpage you are looking at is my first attempt.
I am already enjoying working through this process of which I wish to some day become an expert. My brother is a software engineer, but was designing webpages long before he was working in that field. I often marveled at his expertise and have to say I was a bit jealous at how he always seemed to know what he was doing with something that seemed very complicated and mysterious to me. I hope this class will unravel the mystery and give me the skills that I need to begin to become an expert myself.
I invite you along on my journey of learning new skills. Let's see what I can do!
